ALMOST SUMMER @ T PROJECT: New Matcha, Linea POPUP, New art & MORE!

Oregon keeps me on my toes. The fickleness of spring could mean a 40 degree drop in temperature within a day, or those sudden downpours followed by a ration of heat and sun. Come late May, like the blossoms busting out everywhere, I’m ready to pop! I miss my friends, I miss rose on the deck, and I’m tired of my boots. The best part is you want to drink tea year-round here and that's something I've got plenty of. Since we’re on the subject of tea, please note that our organic matcha finally arrived from a new farm in Shizuoka...

FRESH & ALIVE SPRING NEWS: 15% OFF TEA & MORE @ T PROJECT

Spring is here and I've got the fever! To celebrate winter's end I'm offering a 15% discount on all teas. Order here and enter the discount code: BLOOM (in caps). If you come by the shop, just mention flowers and we will honor the discount. Yes, the flowers are bursting, but it’s still cold in Oregon so hurray, more time for tea with friends. Also, Mothers Day is just around the corner, so order your gifts soon! I used to read poems and books where spring was referenced. I knew lots of songs whose lyrics celebrated the renewal and anticipation of SPRING. But, I never truly...

Winter Trees, Love & Dharma & Ginger Tea

WINTER TREES+LOVE+GINGER TEA+VALENTINE GIFT BASKET Snow, ice and rain: December through April. I do love the Pacific Northwest. Did I say I truly love the Pacific Northwest? That slow-to-be-discovered love is contingent upon my essential winter tool kit: tea, sunlamp and sheepskin. While friends are huddled by the fireplace enjoying long stretches of Scrabble, knitting, and baking, I’m scowling and searching for an overhead streak of blue or a vernal bud. Come February 1st, I count the days until the spring equinox, which means it will be a tiny bit warmer with pretty flowers embellishing this fair city (yet still raining a lot). It’s a...

Teas that soar from spring to summer

Teas that soar from spring to summer

I Got You is one of our most popular teas at T Project. Though I steep it year-round, I crave this green tea most during seasonal transitions. Robust and full-bodied, our traditional Japanese blend of sencha green tea and toasted rice is invigorating to the body and mind. I add matcha powder to add depth and bring up the umami notes. That extra boost of anti-oxidants, along with all of the other goodies that green tea nourishes us with, sets me up for a long productive day with more clarity and focus. The deep chartreuse color is a bonus, like having a grass meadow in your cup. Enjoy this tea hot or iced. California Dreamin’ is my recommendation for the...
