The Edge and Eso Esto CERAMICS

For NCECA 2017, the big clay conference that hits Portland today, T Project curated two stellar exhibtions. Reception is Thursday, March 23rd4-7 PM.

In the gallery: I asked eight artists on the west coast to respond to the prompt - The Edge.
The rim or edge of a physical form both binds and defines that shape in space. Our eyes are drawn in, following the contours and investigating scale, ratio and rhythms. Inside or outside, across or within, literally or metaphorically, the edge concept turned out diverse interpretations in this lively group of sculptures and paintings. Participating Artists: Jennifer Rochlin & Katy Krantz (Los Angeles), Rumi Koshino (Oakland), Marjorie Dial, Cynthia Lahti, Junko Iijima and Sarah Wolf (Portland), Saya Moriyasu (Seattle)

In the shop: We welcome Portland ceramist, Shannon Holt, of Eso Esto in a collaborative display with the Portland Sogetsu School of Ikebana. Eso Esto pieces will feature a custom Japanese flower arrangement created for each vessel and space. This exhibit promises to be spectacular and only in the shop during NCECA week: March 23- March 26. Be sure to stop by between the hours of 11-5, Thursday-Sunday this week!

Hours this week: Thursday through Sunday, 11-5. After that, the gallery will reopen on Saturday April 1st 12-5 and again on April 8th, 12-5. We'll resume normal gallery/shop hours -- (Thursdaythrough Saturday) beginning April 13th. The Edge exhibit will be on view through the end of April. Call for appointment if necessary.
