I was drawn to Laura’s still lives immediately. There was something bold about her work, yet something feminine, quiet and mysterious. Though a simple collage of renderings, the drawings don't totally reveal themselves upon first glance. I feel compelled to stare at them to and interpret these familiar objects that were floating gracefully. She gives us entry into her own imagination and into the lives of daily object that we often take for granted.
